Spoiler alert: it was epic.
On Wednesday 11th June, the pest control industry did not turn up in suits and sit through PowerPoint slides. Instead, we suited up in helmets and harnesses, grabbed bows, crates, and blindfolds and got stuck in.
Pest Rangers: The Ultimate Adventure Networking was one for the books. Hosted at Aztec Adventure in Bromsgrove, this was no ordinary industry day out. This was seven wild, muddy, laughter-filled challenges, proper pizza, a few unexpected splashes – and a whole lot of pest control professionals showing us how it’s done.
Networking, But Not As You Know It…
We were joined by the best in the biz – big thanks to the BPCA, NPTA, and Wasp Pole Pro for setting up on-site stands and getting involved! Everyone was able to chat, connect, and even purchase their own Wasp Pole Pro gear right there and then. Of course, the Lodi UK stand was there too (wouldn’t be a party without us), and it was buzzing with pest rangers new and old throughout the day.
Let’s talk about that pizza van because honestly, the rave reviews haven’t stopped. Refuelling in the sun with a slice in hand? Yes please. And to cool off during the lunch break, things got a little splashy with an impromptu water balloon fight!
The Games: Healthy Competition & Hilarious Chaos
We were absolutely blown away by the enthusiasm and (healthy) competition from every ranger. From the crate stacking and Jacob’s ladder climbs, to archery, tunnels, blind canoeing, and that big inflatable finale – you brought the energy, the teamwork, and some serious trash talk. And we LOVED every minute.
Here's a quick flashback, reminiscing on all 7 challenges:
- Colonise – a test of balance, bravery, and shouting "DON'T MOVE" at your teammates.
- Hive Heights – teamwork on wobbly rungs, with plenty of suspense (and squeals).
- Cockroach Climb – wall-scaling wonders and a few Spiderman impersonations.
- Rat Run – mud, ropes, and full energy. Full squeak ahead, rodent mode activated.Bug Boat – shouty shore captains & blindfolded paddlers = pure entertainment.
- Mole Maze – tunnel vision, not all who wander are lost…except when there’s only one right route.
- Fly Strike – laser focus, competitive tension, and some surprisingly sharp shooters.

Pest Rangers Champions: The Yellow Team!
Let’s hear it for Team Yellow, who brought the heat (and the speed) and were crowned champions of the day! They absolutely smashed the Bug Boat challenge with a record-setting time of 3 minutes flat. Still wondering if they secretly trained beforehand...
