Easy Installation Guide:
(Please wear gloves when handling the ProventGuard® plates)
- Fit together the bolts and fittings as shown below, through each corner of the ProventGuard® plate. The parts are numbered as listed in the product contents.
- Lightly hand tighten each of the bolts into the anchor nut.
- Before fitting your ProventGuard®, make sure that the airbrick is clear of debris and has been cleaned.
- Line up each bolt to the corresponding corner airbrick hole. Once all bolts are lined up, push the plate into place as far as it will go.
- Tighten up each screw with a spanner or socket. Tighten each screw only a few turns and then tighten the opposite screw, until both screws have been tightened. Please note: The fitted washers provide the plate with an approximate 2mm gap around the edge, to enable additional airflow around the plate.
- Fit the Hex black screw caps to each screw head
MAINTENANCE:
The ProventGuard® must be maintained,k to ensure that there is no build up of debris, which could restrict the airflow.
WARNING:
ProventGuard® must not be used to cover airbricks or vents, which are being used for electrical ventilation systems, gas appliances or associated with fireplaces or wood burners. Restriction or blocking airflow in relation to appliances or ventilation systems can increase the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning.
